The Little Victories

My amazing husband is handsome, talented, loving, .. and picky.
He had asked me to pick up some grape juice for him this week. So when I was at the store I walked by the Welchs juice and they were all out of the regular grape. But right next to it was Black cherry Grape juice. Now I am always down for trying something new while Luke on the other hand automatically doesn't like it if he hasn't tried it. But I decided I would give it a shot. Maybe he wouldn't notice that the label was different.

Anyways, he just walked into the room with a tall glass of grape juice with a huge smile on his face. I didn't say anything except," I sure hope you drink all of that".

A couple minutes later I look over and the glass is empty. So I asked if he liked it. He said yes. And that is when I dropped the bomb.

He said that there was no way there was cherry in it. He would absolutely have tasted it. He hates cherry.

So he walks into the kitchen, opens the fridge, and says,"No Lauren. It's Black cherry grapes. It's a type of grape."

I said,"No. Look again."

I wish I could have recorded the sound that I heard creep out of that open refrigerator. I call it the sound of victory.

It's the little victories like this that bring me joy.
